I am going to have to say Goku. Goku has had far more formal training than Superman. And I see that some say that the only way Goku could beat Superman is if he had kryptonite. Correct me if I am wrong, but Doomsday didn't have kryptonite on him when he KILLED Superman. And Doomsday really didn't have the powers like Goku had. Especially not the super saiyan stages that Goku posses. He could easily whip Superman in super saiyan 4 stage. But Goku would never get that far cause he would want to make it an interesting fight and would probably only go to super saiyan 2 at the most. So, yeah, Goku would be the victor.

So we have Superman, the famous superhero who's powers are to fly, he's super strong, super fast, and he has laser beams coming out of his eyes. He is also bullet proof, and he could pick up mountains and throw them if he wanted to. All his characteristics make Superman the ideal superhero in my oppinion. Now on the other hand we have Goku, a Saiyan that fights against evil just like Superman does. Now Goku has more stages, and all his abilities increase enourmosly with each increase in stage. His stages are Saiyan (normal stage), Super Saiyan (SSJ), Super Saiyan 2 (SSJ2), Super Saiyan 3 (SSJ3) and Super Saiyan 4 (SSJ4). He also has the Ultimate Super Saiyan form and the Oozaru and the Golden Oozaru, but I'm not gonna go into that since the fight takes place at a SSJ4 stage. Ok, so in his normal stage, Goku can do anything that Superman can, fly, super speed, super stong, eye laser beams, doesn't get hurt easily, plus a few more, such as the Kamehameha and The Spirit Bomb. Also, Goku can sense the Ki energy or really strong fighters, and since Superman is really strong, then he will have enourmous power, and therefore Goku would know even before the fight has started what he need to take Superman down, and also, he would be able to sense Superman anywhere he goes, and which Superman can't. Now lets say that Superman is at his very best, then I'll say that that's equivalent to Goku's SSJ form, although I'm pushing it a bit, since Superman can't move faster then the speed of light at any point, and also he's not able to destroy plantes, with a single blast especially, two things Goku can do with ease as a SSJ.

Now you said that the battle is between Superman, and SSJ4 Goku, well then clearly the fight goes to Goku. I also wanna clear any confusion in power levels. Superman can't destroy things bigger then mountains. Goku, as SSJ can destroy any planet he wants, even a star, as our Sun. Now at SSJ4, Goku is able to destroy the whole universe at a blink of an eye. He is also able to use Instant Translocation, and teleport himself instantily and place he wanted to. He can even go in the Other World if he wants to. So yeah, the creator of the Dragonball Z/Gt, just gave TOO much power to its fighter so that's the only reason Superman doesn't stand a chance, not even with help from The Justice League. So, if Superman attacks SSJ4 Goku, and Goku doesn't even bother moving, he wouldnt even have a scratch on. Also no matter how fast Superman is flying around, Goku can see him, since he's used to keep up with faster fighter, or if not, he can sense whereever Superman is. With all that said, this fight goes to Goku... as a Super Saiyan 4.

Goku don't get me wrong I love the Man of steel but In a fight with Goku .... Superman will surely lose. Just put it this way Goku has the power to Destroy Planets and Superman will doesn't. Goku has no real weakness like Superman's weakness to Krytonite.

Superman. He's indestructible except when kryptonite is involved. Goku isn't smart enough to use kryptonite against Superman. Also, he's too much of a goody-goody to do something like that. The only way Goku could beat Superman is if he used the Dragon Balls and wished Superman was dead. Superman is quite weak against magickal attacks.

in a straight-up fight, Goku has a slight edge.

Superman really doesn't have any formal training in fighting, just vast experience. And he tends to rely on his invulnerability most of the time. However, this same invulnerabilty is also very hard to overcome. One tactic he can use is to grab Gokou, and drag him to the surface of the sun. He'll survive (he's done it before in the comic books) but Gokou won't. The problem is holding on to Gokou, since he's got teleportation abilities.

Gokou is a fighter, it's what he does. It's mostly all he does. He's been training to fight whenever he's not fighting. He also has access to some semi-magical abilities which may or may not affect Superman. And no, I don't think a Kamehame blast will finish him, he's been hit with much, much worse before and shrugged it off (the Spirit Bomb might work though, as it's probably magical...)

Either way, it's going to be a long fight, as both these guy's abilities are influenced by their willpower. and they have the strongest willpower in their respective universes. There probably won't be much left of whichever place they decide to slug it out in...

not knowing who goku is, this could be tough to answer. but unless he is made of kryptonite or happens to have some with him, superman is winning that battle! he only has one weakness, that aint bad!

u comparin goku and superman??..come on...what can superman do to a super saiyan??...well goku is way stronger than superman...goku outclasses superman in every aspect...besides is instant transmission possible to superman??...well i guess goku will take care of superman the same way cell took care of mr satan when he stepped into the ring..!!!...besides,even krillin could downsize supreman...!!
