I adore Modern Dance. For me, modern is so expressive. I like the feeling of moving from my center, and feeling the floor. For me, modern is all about moving from my center. I always feel more grounded and more engaged when I doing modern than any other for mof movement.
One of my favorite aspects of modern dance is that male and female distictions aren't as important. GIrls can dance with girls, boys can dance with boys, girls can lift up the boys...you get to break the ballet rules, which I love.

Modern dance...hmmm to watch it live would probably not be as thrilling as going to the ballet but actually taking classes...that is hard work trust me! it's good exercise but to be honest if i was watching it i'd say gimme Ballet Tap or Majorettes any day of the week!

I felt so awkward doing modern. I don't know, i'm a classically trained ballet dancer so those random movements really threw me off. It was definitely fun and an experience though.

I am a ballet dancer. I tried modern dance, and It made me feel relaxed. I really enjoyed it.

i took modern from a great teacher for about 5 years... and its the best thing that ever happened to me!
it always made me feel really relaxed and free.
now whenever i hear music i just want to dance!
if you are thinking about modern classes then you should sooooo just go for it and have fun learning to relax!

well today i had summer camp and took a modern dance class. it was different. actually i liked it and it was a nice break from ballet. the arms are so blah.

Modern dance sucks. Dancing has become easier and easier throughout the years (besides breakdancing).

I love it, especially the sexually suggestive moves, and it makes me feel horny, and that's the exact reason that I love it:)
