I hate to sound like a commercial, but you can't beat the Pro Active line for blemishes. That stuff is great. Totally worth the money.

I do not know if you can have "smooth" skin...with blemishes. That cannot work, if you think about it, right? But you can try to "clear up" your skin....proper cleansing (Dove soap is great... non-drying and it has sodium in it which helps to heal ) followed by a mild astringent like witch hazel and apply some OTC blemish medicine (vanishing type only) 2x a day...your skin will clear up and then will appear smooth....once that is obtained .....try a gentle scrub like St. Ives Apricot Scrub...that will polish your skin and smooth it out, too....great for males and females. It helps to get rid of blackheads, too which lead to blemishes......If you decide to use a moisturizer MAKE SURE IT DOES NOT CONTAIN OIL OR LANOLIN... Good luck

I use dove body wash with a poof twice a day. Does wonders in terms of hygiene and cleanliness and in like 3 months time you notice an amazing smoothness to skin. Plus it gets rid of blemishes as well but this takes longer. Remember dove is mild and won't irritate skin so your chances of having smooth skin are good. Plus there's the dove beauty line of skin products.

I use the Miracle Set (combination to oily) by Mary Kay. The set will give you younger looking skin, fewer lines, improved firmness, and even skin tone. It's very gentle and will not irritate your face. http://www.marykay.com/adina_k/skincare/antiaging/miracleset_combinationtooily/default.aspx
Then, you should throw in the Blemish Control Toner 3, which is an acne medication that leaves your skin free of excess oil. http://www.marykay.com/adina_k/skincare/classicbasicskincare/10106500/10106500/default.aspx
Be sure to finish your daily skin care routine with a foundation to protect against the elements, and to help your skin look smooth and blemish-free. You can also use a concealer underneath your foundation. Mary Kay's foundations come in 20 different shades and provides stay-true, stay-put color, and controls excess oil for up to eight hours! http://www.marykay.com/adina_k/color/foundations/mediumcoveragefoundation/default.aspx
The last thing is the Acne Treatment Gel. It will dry and clear blemishes, and allows skin to heal without irritation.

Just be sure to always properly moisturize, even while breaking out. If you don't, your skin will start to produce extra oils to compensate and you'll just break out more.
You can start with what's written above, but I also strongly recommend TimeWise® Even Complexion Essence. It really evens out your natural tone and reverses skin discoloration.

well, you need to do several things at the same time, speaking as a man of 36 who is constantly told by women, that he has flawless, glowing skin.
you need to eat healthily, lots of fruit, veg, water. cut out oils, fats, sugar, salt, caffeine. you really need to drink a lot of water to flush out the toxins, and to make the skin smooth and glow.
and stay out of the sun as UV rays will darken your blemishes and create darker pigmentation.
and use a scrub at least 2 times a week. not too vigorous when exfoliating.
and use a good skin care system. it does not have to be expensive. i have recently started l'oreal's whitening cream, i forget the name. it is in a yellowish bottle. it makes my skin look fair and glowing. so many people remarked about it. it's cheap and i really swear by it.

i go swimming regularly these days and it makes my skin smoother. My mother even has an amazing smooth and soft skin since she goes swimming like 10 years. I think becuz the chemicals in the swimming pool help remove dead cells on ur skin that makes ur skin smoother. Hope it works for u too :)
