And I want to hear about every aspect from the way people perceive the war, the effects on gas prices, homeland security and our rights, our freedom and our general way of life. Plus how the world will view us.

The U.S. as we know it would be OVER. I don't think we could sustain our position at this point in an all out full scale world war.
There are too many liberals in our society that want to "play fair" and make everything rosey and pretty and perfect. Meanwhile - the countries that want to dominate the entire world, would crush us with unethical and immoral war crimes...we would lose (but hey, we would have fought "fairly"!) and the folks who think they live in Disney World would have to serve the next government...and they (the new gov) may not be so tolerant of their "free speech"
I like to think most Americans would back their country. I hope that the media (which of course, gives an extremely twisted version of their idea of the truth) is wrong about how many Americans support their president and country. The loud nay-sayers did not think Bush would get elected a 2nd term, but he did.
I just hope the next president can carry on as well.

First and foremost i think this would kill the already dented american economy.Since they would now have to spend the little they have on arms.Secondly they would loose their position as a super power since other countries eg china are well prepared for the event eg still have enough population for their forces, cash to arm themselves and econmomic stability. The world would only then realise that the USA cant put their money where their mouth at!

It doesn't matter what people think of us. We will still love ourselves to the bitter end (only normal for a society).
