There are actually many reasons for global warming.
1) Natural reasons
1a.) The shifts in climate and different solar changes, such as sun spots and solar blasts called solar flares.
1b.) Naturally caused fires that burn much of the grasslands and re-introduce CO2 in large quantities
2) Human irresponsibility
2a.) Coal burning
2b.) Over-usage of fossil fuels such as oil and natural gas
2c.) Lack of recycling, which could help reduce the usage of fossil fuels
2d.) De-forestation of huge forests such as the Amazon and the Great Redwood forest (although this has stopped, the Amazon is considered the 'lungs of the planet', and has not slowed down on the de-forestation)
2e.) Reduction of responsibility from the larger gov'ts on this planet, saying it's not 'cost-effective'
2f) People thinking like a few of the people whom answered this question- thinking it's all a quest for the 'man' to run the world...
If Human irresponsibility continues, the effects of global warming will be irreversible and will send this planet into a huge flood- due to the oceans heating up to much, ice caps melting, and humongous storms even worse than Katrina.

CO2 is 30% higher than it has been for 650,000 years. Methane is 130% greater.
Look at the 'hockeystick', which shows a dramatic warming since 1950.
(see links below)
How's that for proof of man's fault in this? There is ample proof, any real scientist will tell you that.
There has NEVER been an article doubting man's influence on global warming published in a peer-reviewed journal. A recent study of almost 1000 proved that.
Yes, the earth naturally heats and cools, but the rate and amount we are warming now is unprecedented in the recent geologic past. We are doing this, and we must stop it. This is not some political statement or rhetoric. This is science trying to educate a crass, ignorant public of the damage they are doing. The magnitude of temperature increase ALREADY is about 10x that of the 'little ice age' of the middle ages, and rate and amount are only going up.
By the way, CFC's have nothing to do with it. They reduce the ozone layer, but do not contribute to warming.

Global warming is due to the phenomena called green house effect. Some of the energy from the is reflected by earth keeping it cool. But the carbon dioxide in the air prevents this refleted light energy from escaping and thus the extra energy kept with in the earth heats the earth making it warmer.
Scientific conclusions are that we cause it by burning more oil etc.

The sun heats up the earth, and this causes the soil, water, and ice to release dissolved gases like methane, water vapor, and to a lesser extent, Co2.
Certain gases in the atmosphere are mostly transparent in the visible spectrum of light. Sunlight penetrates these, warms up the earth's surface, and radiates the heat back out into the cold darkness of space. But certain gases are "dark" in the infrared part of the spectrum. They absorb heat that is reflected back off the earth. The atmosphere therefore warms up, and some of the energy that would be normally radiated back into space is trapped in the molecules of air close to the surface.

Everyone assumes we are causing global warming, The earth is billions of years old. It has gone numerous radical climate changes. The last of which is a "mini ice age" which occured starting 500 years ago and lasted until the middle of the 19th century. Look up the Discovery Channel. Click on "climate changes" you may be surprised.

Well there are many thoughts on this. Sun burring hotter, less trees, burning fossil fuels, cows.
But thinking about it there is only like a 0.01 rise in co2 and the sun is burring hotter and most of our oxygen comes from the plants in the sea anyway.
Anyway thinking about it most people create heat through computers, TV, DVDs, Videos, phones, etc. All this heat has to go some ware and therefor global warming is caused by us having computers turned on to allow you to read this.

In , fact Global warming has 2 possible effect,
1.It do not let earth become warm.
2.It do not let earth become cold at night.
But , it must have limit ,and now it broke up and has bad effect that must reason is ,
1.Air pollution

Greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide absorb the energy radiating off the Earth that would normally go into outer space. This keeps the (heat) energy on Earth so it becomes hotter because the sun is constantly feeding in energy but not so much is escaping.

There are loads of reasons for global warming. Car and vehicle Fumes, pollution from large factories. nuclear Power. the burning of fossil fuels such as oil and coal. And many more... these are causing many effects to our climate such as polar ice caps melting etc

There is no such thing ... it's all about the "man" trying to put crap in everyone's heads to push an agenda that has been years in the making. Don't be a damn fool and believe that crap too. There ain't no damn Global Warming.
