from the puss running down her side she got another cut and that one swelled to.

now it has been a week, the sweeling has gone down but she still has to big cuts where she lost her hair.

can i do anything else for her. I`m going to call the vet and ask her to check.

The second cut could be where infection in the underlying tissues has 'broken out', forming a gap in the skin, or a type of scald from the pus. If the underlying infection is dealt with they should heal up, although there may be scars. The vet is definitely a good idea as infected cuts can progress to cellulitis and can be very serious. I wouldn't put any more peroxide on it- it is caustic and also may have caused the second problem.

i agree with no peroxide. that can make it worse. my favorite cream is NFZ (nitrofurazone). you can get it at just about any tack store for about $5. NFZ will prevent any further infection. wash the wound well, pat dry and then apply liberally. reapply every day but only wash it every two days or so. ive had some pretty nasty gashes and have used this and now have little or no scarring.

Check around and remove things that she could possibly cut herself on. Don't forget to check the ground, she could be cutting herself on something buried. Go over her grazing area with a fine-toothed comb, leave nothing to chance.
