Does anyone know of an organic way to get rid of cucumber beetles?

The beetles are over-running our cukes,squash and zuchinni! I have noticed that they are even in the fields surrounding our garden. The garden is much too large to net (as I have heard to do), and mulching between and under the plants would be pretty tough to occomplish, also. I was hoping to find an organic, home-remedy spray or something that would keep them away. Thanks for your time!

i used to have this garlic spray, put cloves of peeled garlic into a bottle of water and soak for a day or two then convert to spray bottle! it repellled everything on my veges except the rats

The best way to get rid of them is to stop growing the cucumbers, zucchini, pumpkins and gourds they love. Take a break from these crops for 2 whole years.
Till the soil in fall and again in late winter to expose grubs.
Spray affected areas with nematodes in August and again in March to kill grubs.

When ready to plant these crops again, use petunias, marigolds and garlic to creat living fences around the squashes & cukes.

When plants begin to flower, keep a sharp lookout--many of the stray adult beetles that make it will attack these first. Hand pick and kill them--one easy way to catch them is to pour water into the flower cup at dawn and then pick the beetles out & place them into a cup of soapy water.

Try planting marigolds in between the rows. The aroma of marigolds makes most insects go nuts and drives them away.

Now you understand the dilemma of our farmers and produce growers. You can afford to fiddle around with non-chemical treatments (that really are chemicals because EVERYTHING is made of chemicals in our world) because your lively-hood doesn't depend on the outcome. Your solutions won't be as effective as the chemicals you buy in a hardware store.
