If you download illegal programs, whats the chances of getting caught?

i have been using limewire for so long and my computer had not been affected... so i recommend you use the limewire...

I don't know about Ares but I've tried Limewire before. It's a pretty good program as long as your sure what you download and have good virus protection programs. If you have no programs like Norton or Spybot that will take care of viruses and cookies then don't use them. Bearshare is a pretty good file sharing program. If you download illegal programs, the chances of getting caught are very minimal. I downloaded tons of copywrighted games and tv shows for my emulator and never got caught so you could use it. I reccomend Bearshare though because it's a lot safer.

I would be extremely careful with Ares, because a friend of mine got caught using it and it also infected my computer with various bugs and what not. From what I've heard Limewire is pretty good and your chances of getting caught aren't as high, but don't forget that they are not non exsistant. Definitly have some sort of protection program- Norton is probably the best but I've found it personally to be a nusiance when it comes to downloading music. I like Ad-Aware by Lavasoft, it's easy to use and gets the job done. And don't forget about a firewall if you have Windows.

It depends on how obvious you make it. If you are burning and selling dvds, you have a better chance of getting caught. Use a proxy. Use a firewall, antivirus, and adware protection. Don't share just download.

limewire is no longer free it needs a license i dont know about ares

Both are decent but Limewire does have virus's.

i don't reccomend either.get bearshare it's a whole lot safer than those 2 combined plus it's faster but may be clumsy at times but better than any other illegal downloader.

Both of them are SAFE
But always scan for viruses in the files which u download for further precautions

It's reasonably safe, just don't download and share gig upon gig of pirated material.
