good question...i'm not really sure if they have human testers or not...they may just say it is new and improved because they added more beef or something and they just assume that it tastes better...i don't think i have ever heard of dog food testers in humans...lol

They use dogs to test it, duh. They take the different kinds of dog food, set it an equal distance from where the dog is sitting, and which ever food the dog eats first is deemed the one that the dog prefers. They do this with hundreds of dogs, and the one that is "preferred" most is the one they claim "tastes better."

i taste it, i usually taste test my dog's dog food before she eats it, some of them really taste good
