I've heard of workouts for your face before but does anyone know of any that have worked for them? I've lost over 20 pounds and I'm at my ideal weight but I got chubby cheeks! IS there anyway you can workout your jawline and cheeks? I've heard of holding your chin and pulling to one side and pulling the ball of your cheek to the other side and smile. Has anything been proven effective? No surgery recommendations please.

Aww girl! I used to worry about my "fat cheeks" but NO MORE!! There is nothing that worked for me. You lost 20 pounds now be proud and don't waste your time...I'm sure your face is unique and gorgeous. Genetically if your family has "fat cheeks" you'll always have them. It is one of the things that actually is listed as an attractive facial feature that makes one look YOUTHFUL. I read a lot of beauty magazines..well I USED to.

Although theoretically possible, effectiveness of facial toning techniques are difficult to evaluate and prove scientifically. As these muscles are not prime movers, like any internal muscle additional resistance cannot be added, so the muscles will not grow or gain much strength. It is solely an endurance and active flexibility exercise. They may be dangerous, even, particularly strong electrical stimulation near the eyes. Chronic pain, delayed onset muscle soreness, neuritis and facial distortions and asymmetry may ensue.
