yes of course, it can start off by just having a lot of sex. But also it can occupy someones mind all day. They read & watch porn, go with prostitutes. Married people cheat. They need counseling. "I love sex with my man" but I am not addicted-only to him.

"There is no consensus in the medical community that sexual addiction actually exists, and it is not presently included in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. Those who support its diagnosis describe it as being in many ways similar to other addictions, where the activity comes to be used as a way to manage mood or stress and may become more severe with time. Diagnostic criteria have been suggested that are closely analogous to those the DSM provides for other addictions."

Anything can be an addiction. Drugs, Gambling, Sex, Tobacco and anything else CAN be habit forming, but the basis of addiction lies within our psyche. We can become addicted to anything.

Yes for some people. However, the body normally reacts to sex in such a way to curve that to non-addiction.

By all means, yes.
Anything can be considered an addiction if it interferes with your normal everyday life or routine. If it disrupts your work, job, employment or negatively impacts your interpersonal relationships, then you are addicted! These guidelines can relate to almost anything, not only sex... (I.E. - could be gambling, fishing, drugs, etc... not just sex).

Anything done to an extreme can be an addiction. If something is affecting work or your social life, and it seems to always be on your mind, it can be a problem.
