maybe they dont want 'other' people bugging their lives.

No it isn't. Some people are very selective who they want to communicate to especially since it is known for perverts and such. Some parents have their child's profile set to private so they don't have to worry about them. And believe me, they have friends.

because people have been burned and bothered by people they dont care or want to see... it's happened to me already that why mine is private.
