With yahoo messenger displayed on your screen, click on the tab at the top labeled "contacts", scroll down to "message archive", select "message", scroll down to "preferences", select "Yes, save all my messages", click "apply", then "OK".

So.. Simple!!!! Yahoo has given such facility in messenger called archive... Click on messenger -> preference -> & then on archive & then select round radio button written Yes, Save all my messages & click on OK.. after that whenever u want to see yr chat ..click on contact -> message archive and it will show u chat with all users by date

Go to Messenger < Preferences
In the section that says Archive, click the circle that says "Yes, save all my messages" You can also opt to save your call history and you can change settings for that below.

Enable your messenger for "chat archive". It will store everything you chat with everyone. the chats will be saved in ur yahoo messenger archives folder (for all users) in program files.

archiving is the way to go. go to the top of your messager box click messanger>prefferences>archive. you can even determin how long to save them.
