Join some clubs - depending on your interests - dance classes, art classes, swimming, music etc...
Find a part time job in a shop...depending on your age.
There are activity days arranged for school hols, so things like absailing, rafting and all that good stuff - these are normally advertised in libraries in leaflets or on notice boards.
Find a good book and go and lie out in the sun (while it lasts) - its amazing how much you can enjoy reading when you do it because you want to ...and not because you have to !!
If all else fails, there are plenty of people on *Answers* just waiting to hear your opinions !!!

We try and arrange days out to places that won't cost a fortune, for example, we will get up early and see what the weather is like, if it is nice we can jump on a train and head to the coast for the day (Brighton or South End) or we arrange to do things we have been meaning to do but never got around to, such as visiting any tourist attractions we have not seen before (in London there are LOADS!!) or perhaps see if friends can get the same time off as us and go to Alton Towers or a theme park. Check out the local papers and see if there are any events happening in the local area or if you are really bored you could do some volunteer work in a charity shop or local animal home, ask around and see what you can find, it's a nice way of doing something good for the community and also meeting new people.

You need to take control of your mind. Be positive and get out and do the things that you enjoy. You could make a list of the things you like to do, walks, sport, read etc and then set your budget to allow you to get out each day. The main thing thou is to plan and act if you sit and procrastinate you will vegetate. It is the easy option to sit and watch rather than take action and DO!!
Life is to short to worry about what others may think have a go and enjoy.

You think that's sad? You must be spoiled or something. I'm 48 years old and I haven't been on a vacation since my 26 year old was 12. Travel abroad? What --- are you like made of money or something?

Hike in the mountains and hills; fishing in the lakes; reading in my leather sofa, with the air conditioning on "High."

Where do you live? There is always something special to do everywhere...
