Also, why are they anti-military? That is so evident, in that they attempted to throw recruiters out of our colleges and universities.

Democrats want power so as to bring about their socialists view of what they perceive America should be, a herd mentality with their select few as the Shepard. What they are Anti is individualism, personal freedom, and capitalism. Your point is well taken, they are against the basics of the founders concepts that founded America.

Democrats are not anti-USA or anti-military. That statement is just ridiculous. All Republicans are not just the opposite of Democrats and guess what they are not all the same either. We are all different and some of us actually vote for both parties. Why does there have to be this great divide because someone is Democrat or Republican? Sorry most of the "talking heads" in both parties spew "hot air" because that's what gets the same idiots on the Sunday morning talk shows week after week. They all want that perfect sound-byte. Please start using your own mind and make your own decisions and don't act like a bunch of puppets as those running the country want you to do. Television, radio-talk shows and biased newspapers do and say what they do for one reason, make money. Talk to your neighbors, your family and friends and try to explore both sides of any topic then make up your mind. This isn't a sporting event it's our country and we can make work if we all vote and then we may have a true democracy. Everything won't end if you split your ticket when you vote. Vote for someone you think can help the country not because he from one party or the other.

This is important to understand. There is a difference between the USA as a country and the government of the USA.

Many people, whether Democrats or not, are against many things that the government has done since the year 2000. In that year, the US Supreme Court ruled that George W. Bush had won the presidential election--without counting all the votes and with the help of some people in the state of Florida. Al Gore actually got more popular votes than Bush. Some people see this as a stolen election.

Since then, the Bush Administration has done many things that make many citizens of the USA angry: letting 9/11 happen, invading Iraq and giving 9/11 as a false reason, bringing former oil executives into high positions in the government, ignoring our allies all over the world, doing things to make millions of people in the world hate the USA, giving large tax cuts to the very rich, wasting hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars, not caring about the thousands of people getting killed in Iraq, and so on.

People can be angry with the government and still love this country. Loving this country means loving its constitution, people, and the many beautiful places here.

What might sound like people being against the USA is only their anger against the people currently in power. These people do things against the people's wishes and they break laws as they see fit. Then they prevent US from being able to know what they really did.

I'm very angry at this government, but I still love the USA.

If you pay attention to some people on TV and the radio, you'll hear them say that people who are against the government's actions are against this country. This isn't true. Those people are trying to make money by stirring up people's feelings so people will watch or listen to their shows.

If you want to be the best American (and person) you can be, educate yourself about things that are really happening and why. You don't have to agree with the government just because you live here. That's one thing that makes our country so great.

OK one more time---What gives you the idea that Democrats are anti American?? Some right wing propaganda? We are Americans like everyone else and we support our soldiers everywhere. Just because we disagree with the Pres on policy does not make us anti American!! That makes us pro America, because we are exercising our right to freedom of speech.I am not sure when the idea that if we question we are Anti-American came from but I'm sure the religious right had everything to do with this. The would prefer a dictatorship but we Democrats won't let that happen!!

Who says they are anti-usa in the first place?

Did you just make that up?

Produce some evidence that "so many" are anti-usa and a definition of "anti-usa".

I'd say that anyone who questions what the government is doing is PRO USA. That is an american virtue, not to blindly follow the leader. Think about it sometime.

Its because they believe in workers rights. Also Democrats believe that are senior citizens are entitled to social security. Nobody should be entitled to anything especially socila security. They are also anti-U.S.A. because they believe all children including children of blue collar workers are entitled to an education. They destroying America by making corportions have to pay a minimum wage. Why should I have to pay for their kids to go to school. Not fair. Democrats are so anit-USA that they dont approve of Bushes cuts to veterean health care. All these vetereans want entitlements. Entitlements are destroying America. Down with social security, let old people eat cat food. Why should I have to pay for their government cheese.

They aren't! They just have a different vision for the country than you.

Also, I don't think a party that actual war veterans like Max Cleland and Bob Kerrey are part of is really that "anti-military", either.

I'm a democrat and I love living here in the US. i think the problem boils down to supporting the decisions of the administration. and just because some democrats don't, does NOT mean we are anti-USA.

The Democrats are no more anti-U.S. than many Germans were who loved their country, but hated Hitler.

For the same reason so many Republicans are; they think that the needs of the few are more important than the needs of the nation.
