See i really want a cute newborn hampter but i don't know wut they like.
Do they like being on the ground?
Do they like running in a wheel?

they like feeling secure, they LOVE to run on a wheel and in a ball, they like SOME other hamsters (if they get along) but most of all they like you to pay attention to them and hold them. They like sunflower seeds, lettuce, carrots and apples.

They like everything that a fully mature hamster would like, except you might want to make a few changes in their cage set up to accommodate for their smaller size. Such as moving the tube of the water bottle down a little lower so that they can reach it more easily, but not so low that it touches the floor of the cage and leaks everywhere. Also, don't house them in a wire cage, use an aquarium with a vented or screen-covered top: they will be protected from drafts and as long as you cover the aquarium adequately and don't give them access to the lid, there won't be any way they can escape. Save the fancy cage and tube setups for when they're older.
If you're getting dwarf hamsters (Campbell's, Siberian, Roborovski, but not Chinese), you could keep more than one together, just not mixed sexes, or you'll eventually end up with more babies than you can handle, when your baby hamsters grow up.

All the above, but you can't own a "newborn" hampster ... they rely on their mom's milk for awhile before they can go out on their own ... that's if their mom don't kill them first. Hampsters are very bad about killing their young. Get one as young as possible and enjoy the fun. Take care of them and look forward to long hours of play during nighttime.

They love little kittens.
Little kittens and hampsters can be best friends- chasing round all day long.
After lunch they like to play hide and seek, have never found little hampster after lunch.
Little, well, bigger kitten goes through a hampster a day... can't imagine where they are a-hidin'..........
