Spending three days in Barcelona and would like ideas on what to do.

Obvious stuff like the Segrada Familia and the Nou Camp are already on our list but what else?

Oh and any suggestions og good bars and clubs would be great.

Thanks!

First, don't miss the "ensaimadas", there are a pastry, really delicious.

There is the Parc Guell, Sagrada Familia, and the Gaudi Houses.
We like the Zoo, walking in Las Ramblas, don't miss the Magic Fountain in Montjuic, it only play some days of the week so you have to check the schedule.

We like also the Tibidabo, a small amusement park in the tallest mountain in the city of Barcelona. There is a small roller coaster and some other attractions. Is good for a afternoon visit. To get to the Tibidabo there is a blue tram that get you to a zipper train. We have visited for years, even when I was a little girl. The last time was in December 2005. We enjoy it.

In Montjuic is the "Pueblo Español", where you find different examples of Spanish towns. There are stores with souvenirs and things of other regions of Spain.

There is the Mis Van der Rohe pavilion, also in Montjuic, if you like architecture.

For the foods: I like the paella (rice), crema catalana (custard), the tapas: boquerones en vinagre(sardines in vinegar), tortilla de patatas (potato omelet), ensaladilla rusa (Russian salad), pan con tomate (bread with tomato), croquetas (I don't know how to explain).

You can visit the Diagonal Avenue, there are a lot of stores there. They have a Tram that cross the Avenue. Is nice and you don't get overtire walking the long avenue.

I like the "barrio gotico" and the Cathedral, where my grandparents married.

I enjoy everything in Barcelona, the shops, the walking, the streets, the people, the food and the architecture.

Cal Pep - Barcelona
Cal Pep is one of the most know tapas restaurant in Barcelona. Its reputation goes largely behind the city wall and it's justified.. Everything is fresh and fun, the tapas, the people, the service, the wine.. Nothing to say just that you have to be there once otherwise you don't know what tapas are. While waiting look the orders and make your menu. Every meal is a delight and every season a new pleasure that follows the market arrivals.. There is also the restaurant "Cal Pep" next door with notorious fish and seafood dishes as well. Both are crowded, book, book, book at the restaurant or be patient at the bar but go there...

Picasso's Museum - Barcelona
The Picasso museum is "the" museum to visit in Barcelona. For the artist and for the building. Imagine in Montcada street, in the Gothic area, five medieval palaces linked together to make a museum. So charming to visit and a very fast immersion in Catalan?s ambient. Concerning Pablo Ruiz Picasso the museum is indispensable for understanding its formative years. The genius of the young artist is revealed through the more than 3,500 works that make up the permanent collection. It also reveals his relationship with Barcelona: an intimate, solid relationship that was shaped in his adolescence and youth, and continued until his death.. You will remember corrida drawing.

Go for Tapas in Barceloneta also spend some time down Las Ramblas and soak in the atmosphere! You need more than 3 days to explore Barcelona. If you do find any additional time have a look round some of Gaudi's stuff, it's amazing. You will enjoy every minute of your stay, I personally guarantee that!

Don't even consider missing Parc Guell.

I absolutely love the MACBA, which is the contemporary art museum (just off Las Ramblas). Your ticket also gives you admission to a film museum across the square- a little known gem. If you're in that area, stop at Foodball for a crazy lunch. They serve all-natural food that is all in the shape of balls! You eat it with your hands on communal benches. Foodball is run by Camper, the funky shoe company. See the link below for addresses and more info.

Do you like theme parks? if so a great day out is Porta Ventura theme park just outside of Barcelona. The segrada familia was my personal high point of Barcelona, the view is beautiful. Hope you have fun.

Picasso museum and Miro museum are good, otherwise hang out off the Ramblas and check out the old Olympic village area down on the port - great restaurants and bars.
