We should inspect all the aspects of the company like sharehoding pattern, management, profit and loss account ,balance sheet, business plan, borrowings and other technical & financial tools.

Ask for a bankers' reference, and trading figures for at least a couple of years. If their contribution is non-financial you should get some idea of the value of that contribution.
