Hold the phone, Dude. To say the courts are conservative and more worried about party alignment is ridiculous. If that was true the ACLU would never win a case. They (ACLU) have their moments when the cases are not in the best interest for a majority of the population. However, they do try to defend the Constitution for the benifit of all people. As individuals, we might not agree with everything they do but they are needed for checks and balances.

Disingenuous? That's laughable, just because you don't agree with or perhaps understand their point of view doesn't make them disingenuous, in fact your statement proves it. They believe so strongly in the constitution and the inherent civil rights guaranteed to all people that they will fight for those rights no matter what side of a moral compass it falls on. For example, the right to free speech is a guarantee so they will support the KKK's right to march, likewise life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are a grantee so they will also fight tooth and nail to make sure the KKK can't take out their threats on say a black man. As to what I think of them....they are extremely important as they are unbias advocates for the constitution, where as our courts on the other hand are more concerned with party alignment and who is conservative and who is religious rather than paying attention to the laws that formed this country

the word "logical" can no longer be used in regard to the ACLU. They only act within the confines of their political agenda.

I think they're a bunch of gay, atheist lawyers who want to destroy America. What else is there to say?
You need to read, "The ACLU vs America", by Alan Sears.
They're like NAMBLA-how do they exist?

I think they have been instrumental at times in preserving our freedom, but often they seem hell bent on taking away religious freedom. I am no bible thumper, but who do they think they are protecting by keeping a cross off the city seal of LA when it's a representatin of a skyline that has a cross in it. We don't have to pretend religion does not exist to be free.

I think they take things a bit too far. We can't say the word "God" in school, yet they defend terrorists and flag-burning and pretty much seem to be leaning toward the Un-American side.

It's title is disingenuous. It defends terrorists rights to obtain religious texts while fighting tooth and nail to keep religious texts out of American class rooms.
