i need to have an observation of the past and present ecosystem

"Hina " is correct in her definition if an ecosystem.
I don't fully understand you question. How will you be able to make a past observation of an ecosystem. How long have you had to do this homework. Also knowing what level you are studying at would be a help. It may be as simple as looking at a puddle of water, before and after it freezes. Sorry I can't really help more than that. Good luck.
