A 5G iPod Video is the best. I will give you a whole bunch of reasons why it is worth it (I have one by the way.) First, it can hold 7500 songs. You don't see many MP3 Players that can do that do you? Also, the video capabilities option is wonderful. I have at least 100 videos on mine, a bunch of south park episodes, the simpsons, family guy, and 10 movies on top of that, and still room for 750 songs and over 400 photos, with 5GB to spare for whatever I want. And the iPod is one of the very few Mp3 players that can be hacked. I mean the real deal, playing Doom, Half-Life, Quake, and more games on it, writing text documents on it, painting pictures on it, and a whooole lot more. Look into iPod Linux, Rockbox, and iPod Wizard (for more info on this, go to http://iPodForum.co.nr .) And I could go on an on all day about why you should get the iPod Video. One other reason: once you have it in your hand the first time, you will never put it down. It's got a great look and I take mine everywhere. To school, on the bus, to the mall, my friends' houses, I even listen to it when I'm falling asleep. I'm addicted to it. I love it. If you get one then you will definately know what I am talking about. By the way, I was just talking about the 30GB iPod. If you get the 60GB iPod, then you can double everything I said which would be even better (the 60GB iPod is $400 and the 30GB is $300.) Good luck with your decision.

Nano's are only good if you excersize or just need them for the size. If not, go with a 30 gb ipod video. They have video and they have a million times more memory than nano.

Personally, I don't have one because I don't really need one. And since the don't come cheap, there's no point.

But my sister does own one (I'm not sure whether it's the Nano, or some other I-Pod) and she's very, very fond of it.
It's small (but not tiny, so it's comfortable in use). It's very light. It holds hell a lot of songs, and it doesn't need batteries (has a built-in one, recharged via USB when you DL music on it).

So, if you need a small, portable MP3 player, I think it's one of the best choices currently available.

I have an ipod video.. and i love it
many of my friends have nanos and they break very easily.
they may be tiny and slim but for $50 more (from 4gb Nano to 30gb Video) its definenty worth the buy. If you want a really good case for the Nano, here is a link to it-

and the same case for Video-

Here is a page with information about the video-

Hope I helped. The Nano is okay but the video is worth every cent. You should consider it as your iPod as well. Have fun!

I don't have one because I found it was too fragile and lacked features I wanted such as FM radio, FM recording, voice recording, and video playback.

The Sandisk Sansa e260 (4GB) and the iRiver Clix are much better, and provide the same ease of use with all the features listed above.

i have the ipod mini, i got it before the nano, so, yea
but i heard the nano..its bad, i heard the screen pops out..but im not sure if thats true, my friend's broke, but i dont know if it was becuase of the screen. i personally dont like it b/c its so small, and it feels like you could just crack it, but if you really like it, im sure it'll be okay, as long as you take care of it.
my friends have the nano, and only one of them broke so i guess they're pretty reliable. and its cheap, so i guess you should get it

I don't because I don't have the money and if I did I would spend it first on things that can't break easily and won't die unexpectedly after a year or two of use. I have a friend though who has one and it's close to his heart ;-)
