Just recently when I have been at work I have been feeling really, really tired when working on my computer. I literally keep dozing off but after 20 minutes or so, I seem to be fine again. Could this be something to do with my diet or eyesight, or maybe even an illness? I really can't keep my eyes open!

There are too many causes of tiredness to list in here that's for certain. If there is no obvious answer that you can see,for example, poor posture at your desk,or too much work and thus too much stress at work, and therefore insufficient breaks,or even sheer bordom at whatever you're doing, then I would strongly consider a visit to the GP to rule in what might be the ultimate cause, and rule out any serious or long-term illness.Without our health we are nothing, with our health we are everything. When there is something wrong which has no obvious reason, then find a reason for going to your GP for a checkup. It could be something as easy as eye strain,or you simply need an eye test. Either way, please don't speculate....be sure and see your GP. All the very best.Alan L

If your job requires that you sit in front of a computer all day, try getting up and walking to the bathroom every once in a while. You are groggy from lack of movement. You can get all the sleep you want, but your eyes are straining looking at the monitor and your body is sitting in one position all day. You need to make sure to take breaks, or at least stand up and stretch. This will make a world of difference.
I used to be so tired at work. Then, I started getting up and walking around several times a day. This helped me tremendously!

it depends how many hours you sleep, are you getting sound sleep. you always require adequate rest for your body after a days work. you ensure that you are eating a proper diet and sleep well, atleast for 8 hours. this is a must. i think you are tired due to lack of rest. relax and if needed go to some hill stations and enjoy for 2-3 days. everything will be alright. keep yourself cheerful and happy. you do not have any illness.

A good health diet is always the best with regular exercise. I too suffered with fatigue and tried all this even went to the doctors who disregarded it totally. Now 2 years on I been diagnosed with endometrosis. Go to your doctor and get as many tests as possible.

You have answered the question yourself!
Our bodies need a lot of things to keep them running efficiently, carbs, protiens, vits, minerals, water and without the correct amounts our body begins to suffer, usually manifesting as tiredness/lethargy.
Improve your diet, ensure you have 5 fruit and veg a day, a couple of servings of wholegrain carbs, and a portion of protein.
Dehydration can acause tiredness so make sure you drink at least 2 litres of water per day.
Good luck,

Could be your diet. I used to get something similar. If I eat sugary foods for lunch I sometimes get a sugar slump following this. And yes, it can be that bad: my eyelids just want to close and my eyes want to de-focus.
I resolved this by cutting down on eating rubbish foods generally. Still get it occasionally, but not as bad as it used to be.
Hope this bit of personal insight helps.

Go to the doctor and get a blood test. It will rule out lots of things. Make sure you ask for the thyroid panel as well as all the standard tests.

Perhaps you have sleep apnea. This is when a person stops breathing hundreds of times during the night, but is unaware of it. The result is poor quality sleep, and daytime fatigue. Perhaps you should go to a pulmonary specialist, who can refer you to a sleep lab. Then can then prescribe a CPAP machine to regulate your breathing while sleeping. If you snore, you probably do have sleep apnea.

Hypnosis may be able to help you to relax more deeply and then feel more energised.
I suggest you look up your local licensed practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming.
