Just had a late night, no alcohol but if i dont get 8 hours im no good to anyone. i wont say had a late night, i'd just say had insomnia last night now its caught up with me....

Sometimes, honesty isn't the best policy. Tell him or her that you're not feeling well (which would technically be telling the truth, but not the whole truth) and go home. You're reasons for not feeling well are none of his or her business.
This reason won't jeopardize any possibilities of advancement in the future.

pretend your getting sick.. cough a lot when the boss is near put something in your eyes that will make them a little red and irritated "like a lil eye make-up"
orrrr you can just walk up to the boss,,, and tell the truth... tell your boss "i'm so sorry but i need to go... i just can not function " boss will notice that and want you to go. no one wants to pay there employee for doing nothing lol

I think the best thing to do is start walking to his office (and make sure there are people around) and pretend to faint. It works wonders every time. You have to be good at acting though. Or if you can't, hold your breath until you pass out. (its possible) Or you could fall asleep on your desk.

Suck it up and do the job for which you are paid. Your boss' business shouldn't suffer or co-workers have to take up your slack because you didn't get your eight hours. Your fault.

if hes a male boss tell him your due on and you've got terrible headache and nausea and you really need to go home to bed , he wont say NO as its woman problems . try it ,it always works for me !!!!!!!!!1
