Yes it does, and I don't understand why. I thought sandals are supposed to show your feet. Why cover them with socks?

I think socks supposed to go with shoes, not with sandals, and yes, it looks funny when socks and sandals combined together, unless you're in Japan!

Yes it does, I live in Hawaii and many of the tourists come here wearing socks with their sandals and I think it looks hilarious.

i will raise my hand to this question that the only time i ever wore socks with my sandals was before i entered into my senior year of high school. believe me, that was the ONLY time i ever did anything like that. it's never a fabulous thing for anybody to wear socks with their sandals. it is dorky and beyond all of that it certainly makes you a fashion victim that need lots of HELP!

Sock are usually wore to keep your feet dry form sweating within the shoes whereas sandals are not fully covering our feet so no question of sweating hence wearing socks are not required.

No. I think it serves a purpose. Maybe their feet are cold or its raining outside and they want to keep their feet dry. But they can't wear closed shoes either coz of an -ingrown or it's just more comfy to wear sandals...with socks on:)

yeah I always wondered that too- why wear socks? if their going to do that might as well not even have any sandals sort of defeats the purpose of wearing the sandles- and yes it looks so doofy! oh and same as wearing sneakers with a dress.......whats up with that??? DOOFY!

That´s horrible.... But mostly Germans do wear socks in their sandals........I m always ashamed when i see that
