In contrast to the majority of opinions given (though not all), it is truly dreadful!!! It is based on some seriously questionable research and operates from the premise that there are two distinct and separate boxes into which all people fall i.e. male and female. Not true - we all possess the characteristics of both genders to a greater or lesser degree and pretending otherwise creates more strife than it solves

Humans always pride themselves to be a higher species because of their ability to think and make decisions. In my opinion, the ability to think is starting to get in the way of our lives. Because people think, and everyone think differently, quarrels and fights are started. Because people think, their school essays get discredited; students are not supposed to think, they are supposed to 'think' like people of the past who had written some books or some form of evidence and include those in the essays. Because people think, those who don't think have to conform to the ideas of the former. Because people think, they cannot come to a decision about some things and it will always be there, never-ending, never gonna be solved. Because people think. Too much in fact. Wouldn't it be good if everyone just do things without thinking too much? Go for it. On impulse. On instinct. Would that make things better? Look what has all the thinking done to us. Yes, we have the technology, the entertainment and everything else which people of the past did not have but we no longer have the simplicity in people. I'm not saying that people in the past did not think but they were smarter. They don't think so much. What's the point of thinking so much and still no conclusion and decision could be made? Doesn't that make you feel worse?

Bottomline: we think too much. Don't k. To whoever this is applicable to.

Read it a while back. Yes, it has some very trenchnat comments to make about the different ways in which men and women think. It helped me be more aware and tolerant of the 'wierd' way women think. It also helped me be more self-aware and able to see why my responses to 'problems' weren't a request to fix it, but that she just wanted to talk an issue through.
However, for all its value, its very general. In interpersonal relationships, nothing beats honest and respectful conversation.

Very insightful (if that's a word), though I seem to remember only reading about half of it.
Borrowed off a girl I knew, who was in a long-term relationship (now married). She said she kept near the bed for reference!

It was good, but I thought it generalised way too much. The men I know are not much like those described in the book, but it is useful in some situations.

He sounds OCD. There are meds that help with that. previous that...is this your husband or your bf? The behaviors which you defined are not some thing that i could want to publish with for a perpetually style of affection in my domicile daily for the the remainder of my existence. So for the few orgasms you get from him...he does no longer be worth it for me to marry.

It's a quality book - in fact there is a whole series of them! Both you and your partner need to read it so that you both understand each other.
