No, you cannot get them legally. Unless you are licensed, like educational institution or research or zoo, you cannot get box turtles (Asian or American), since there is an import restriction on non-native Aussie species. I am sure there are some floating around, but I don't think it is a good idea to search out illegal ones.

There are so many cool and amazing turtles in Aus, all them longnecks and snakenecks, and sidenecks... awesome turts you have. No need to get boring boxies. :)

Go to a major city and they should have them. The number depends on how many you want to care for. They do fine by themselves. Be sure to read and educate yourself on box turtle care. They need lots of sunlight and in your case I would keep them in a fenced yard or pen.

i believe you can though there very rare and get two so they arent lonely preferably a male and female but hope they dont mate lol hint:box turtles also like to race other turtles lol

do you have a reptile license, if so find a reptile club.is it a native of Australia. if it isnt then you will find it very hard to get
