If they're old enough, get some flea medication from the vet. I get Advantage, but Frontline is good, too. They kill fleas within 12 hours I think it is, maybe less. As far as fleas in the house, vaccuum all the carpets and throw away the vaccuum bag. There are also some sprays you can use that work, too. I've had that problem before and some of the sprays seem to help. You may also want to keep your cats inside if possible.

Put a pest strip in your vacuum, spray your yard for insects. Keep the cats inside as much as possible, and get them flea collars. Put pest sticker boxes all over the house. Even a mouse can't escape the stickum. Vacuum, vacuum. Vacuum the furniture. Use Avon bath oil on your legs and feet. Wipe some on the cats too. I love "Cutter insect repellant spray " for myself and the little kids.

Firstly, identify the type of flea you have. Many flea species live in sand. They love it there and breed there well. If you have treated your pets and house, then they are coming from somewhere else. Like outside? Go and stand in your garden or in the sandy areas and see if they jump onto your legs or not. Check under all areas that are under shelter or areas of your property that are not accessed often. Don't put harsh chemicals like dishwashing liquid on your animals skin! Chemicals will dry out their dermis and they will scratch themselves until they are raw and you will have to take them to the vet. Put garlic in their food. They will excrete the garlic smell through their pores. Fleas hate the smell and will leave your pets alone. And it will give them a shiny coat! Good Luck!

flea meds will work plus the vet has this spray that you can spray on the rugs, curtains, furniture beds wherever the cats have been which is basically all over the house. Vaccum alot too and dispose of the bag afterwards

when there is a flea problem, you often have to do multiple treatments. most treatments kill only the fleas, not the eggs. so the problem might go away for a while, but then whatever eggs are left behind, on your pets, on the furniture, in the carpeting, etc, the eggs hatch, and problem continues. It is something that must be controlled continually.
For example monthly treatments for the pets, frequent vacuuming of the carpets and furniture, etc.
Good luck

do you live in a rural or suburban area that rabbits and squirrels have access to? or do you have feral cats lurking about your yard? try this-1: keep kitties indoors at all times 2: treat them with frontline or advantage from the vet. 3: bomb again, vacuum thoroughly, especially bedding and furniture, including cushions and pillows... burn the vacuum bag if possible, if not put it in a tightly sealed garbage bag, wash everything that's washable, 4: consider having your lawn treated, if you have one. 5: if you do have a yard consider getting a dog (if you like them) it would help keep the rabbits, squirrels, and feral cats at bay, and you'd have another pet friend. treat puppy too, of course. good luck!!
