Best way is to get new springs set at the height you want. next best is to get your old springs reset. if you are really short on cash you can remove the bottom(shortest) leaf or two and put them upside down on top of the longest spring and refit to truck. IF the axles are mounted below the springs you can remount them above (spring under conversion) the springs. this will lower the truck at least 4 inches.

Yeh, right...new springs on a 37 would be a bch to change. You'd have to cut the bolts and shackle bushings out. How about this.....take off the U bolts and disassemble the spring pack without removing the main spring. Take out a few springs to get the height you want. Put on your new shocks (that old truck probably has lever shocks so you'll want to retrofit standard shocks on it) and see how it rides. Good luck.
