i need help on tuning my acoustic guitar. i already know how..i have an electronic tuner but the thing is everytime i rotate/turn some of the knobs they make this sound and im afraid the string might come off. is this possible? or shall i just continue turning it? plzz help

From top to bottom- e;a;d;g;b;e. Tune it gently, new strings will need to be tuned more than once.

When you turn the knobs, it is not uncommon to have some noise. You can use your right hand to pull the string up a little, just to get a feel of the tension. The tension should be firmed and not very very tight.

With an electronic tuner, your main worry is more of missing the note and then you inadvertently tune ONE OCTAVE above the required note.

To solve this problem, start with the string more to the loose side. You can then tune it up slowly and watch the tuner for the in-tune indicator.

After some practice, you should be able to tell and tuning will be a breeze.

Final Tip - don't worry if a string burst, treat it as a learning curve, strings are not that expensive and you will learn to overcome another mystical fear.

you can tune a guitar but you cant tunafish...
