You need to stay on top of the maintenance Everyday. Keep check on your all your chemical levels and add when needed. I like to shock my pool once a week. They make some water clarifiers if your chemical levels are right. Check your local pool store and take a bottle of pool water with you to have it analyzed.

There is no "trick". Diligence is what is required. You must have a good filter system, which you run long enough daily to keep suspended particles removed from the water. You must test and adjust water chemistry regularly. You must keep the pool cleaned of dirt and debris. You must clean/backwash the filter when needed. Remember: there are 3 requirements for clear, sparkly water.
Circulation
Filtration
Proper water chemistry.
These are the "tricks".

It's milky cause it needs chlorine & clarifier The pucks are the best.. 2 or 3 pucks evry couple of days or depending on the size of pool.
Also maintenance the pump. the sand in the filter should be checked to see if its still white. If its dirty change it. Also u should be in to back washing your pool as soon as it hits over 10-for pressure.

It is really very simple. You get the pool man to come and clean it.If you cannot afford the pool man, then you cannot afford the pool.
There may be some people with clean pools who do it all themselves, but they are usually retired millionaires who have previous experience as pool cleaners.

if it looks milky you aren't using enough cholrine, we had this problem when we first got our pool because we didn't know what the heck were doing. Shock the pool. I can't tell you with how many bags of shock because I don't know how many gallons of water is in your pool.

Stop pissing in it and take a shower beforehand. Use less chlorine to avoid calcification and rotting of inside lining and remove leaves and mold.
