Anytime a 4400 gets out of line. Agent Tom Baldwin is gunning for them. He's ready to arrest or kill if need be. Rules are made to be adhered to.

That is of course as long as your not a friend or family member. When is son is done something wrong all of Tom's moral platitiudes go out the window. When Jordan Collier was in charge of the 4400 center Tom would send in spies, wiretap, and bust in unannounced. However, later when Nephew Shawn is in charge that stops.Tom let NSA adduct Gary Navarro (ESP Guy) and later let them torture him. But hid his son from murder charges.

Tom seems to have this one sided contempt for the rules. He hates what the government is doing but only does something when a friend or family member is in harm's way. He is always telling others to turn themselves in to the authorities and gives full reports to his superiors. But in cases involving his friends and family he does the opposite. He seems to have one agenda himself and his family. what do you think?

Yes recently he saved Gary. But only because his wife would hate him for not saving him. Tom didn't save Gary out of some need to do the right thing. Only to remain a good person in his wife's eyes. Again he looking for ways to save his own family above all others.

Would I do the same. NO! If I was law enforcement of any type. I would never hold some to a standard that I'm not willing to put to all. Yes his son was blacking out and its the law enforcements job to take that into consideration. Not Tom. Sean has broken laws by giving money to a terrorist group. he didn't know? Yeah but he was trying to build his own private army. What did he think that meant? Guns, mercs, etc..

If I gave money to Al-Qaeda private army for blacks. Do you think anyone would give me a pass. No way!

How does Tom think he knows better than anyone else who is to be forgiven or not. His wife helps the Nova Group and he wants her forgiven. Yet all other Nova members are hauled off to jail.

I just started watching it this season and I can see some of that hypocracy. Of course, now he has future-people telling him to kill Isabell so maybe that is screwing up his moral fabric.

In my opinion, Tom is conflicted alot between the 4400 and the Nova group and his former boss and his girlfriend also the Group that wanted Isabelle killed. The only person that may keep him sane is his gf and his partner. He is pulled into alot of different directions and such but i'm so glad he saved Gary BUT i hate tom's former boss, he went off having all the 4400 to be killed but he unsucceed so how can he try to capture Gary and kill him. I hate that man with a passion lol.

With what happened to his son, he protects him due to him black out and doesn't remember where he's been. Remeber that Jordan Collier did alot of bad before he got abducted so now that he's back.. he is wanted. You got to remember that Tom's son blacked out on alot of these events.

Also Tom has went through a recent thing about Isabelle and now he has to kill her and i get a feeling that she is demonic ( she is the worse enemy for both human and the 4400).

For Tom, his job. he tries to do his job but for a personal level, he can do what he wants. He saved Gary from something terrible and his girlfriend too.

I can see how Tom might seem hypocritical, but he has to walk a fine line. He wants to protect the good 4400, from the destructive present day and 4400 people from the future. Staying in the government agency keeps him in the know.

He took the chance of taking his own life, to bring the kidnapped 4400 children back. In return he promised to kill Isabelle, which he may not be able to do alone.

I think he should get Shawn to help him, since Shawn has already tried to kill her.

But, who knows what the writers of this show have up their sleeve.

I didn't see the show in its original run, but find Baldwin to be a loathsome person. He is unbelievably bull-headed and simple-minded, and absolutely without any integrity at all. He is always screaming; he has no imagination, hides things from the people closest to him, and then demands that they understand him perfectly, or give him all the latitude he wants. When his intimates displease him, he assumes the worst; he is always rushing into a situation, guns or fists out. I'd really like to kick his ******* teeth out.
