Technically, the Middle East is on THREE continents (if you include Turkey).
1. It includes North Africa along the Mediterranean Sea and down the Eastern side of the continent along the Red Sea.
2. It includes Asia as far east as Iran.
3. It includes just a piece of Europe because a small part of Turkey overlaps the Bosporus Straights.

Egypt is in Africa, Asia Minor and Mesopotamia are obviously in Asia, if you count Turkey the western part is in Europe.
