Good question. The answer is obvious once youve been to both.
California has by far the most diverse environment. C has virtually any climate you could ask for. It has breezy beaches, foggy bays, hot arid deserts, fruitful valleys and high snowy mountains. The culture is teeming with glamour and cosmopolitain atmosphere. you can find shopping, water parks, history, movies, great restaurants, and great night life in the urban areas. California contains the most multicultural peoples as well, as people come from all over the world to settle here.
Arizona on the other hand, has a flatter landscape, consisting of dry sand and sparse trees. It is much more scarce than the lush forrests of California mountains. Arizona contains much more natural beauty in its landmarks, including the Grand Canyon and Colorado river. They signify the old world, how it used to be before settlement. you can find many more historical settlements from the travelers of early North America. Arizona cities feel as dry and hot as their surrounding environment and are much smaller and spaced out than urban California. However, the nights are teeming with wildlife, a kind of variety you cannot find in California in the evenings. The hot arid desert is occupied by exotic animals at night and you can see the stars for miles around, versus the polluted cities of California popluation. Expect to see desert wildlife in the daytime too. even the bigger Arizona cities have that small town feel of the tiny truckstops along the way.
hope that answers your question....if you have anymore, i suggest you just travel there yourself!

I have noticed that in general, there are more attractive people in California. There are also worse drivers in Arizona; I think that the heat gets to them. The rock n roll Marathon in Arizona was actually better than the one in San Diego. Arizona stays on daylight savings time year round, while the clock gets set back in October in California. Better sunsets in Arizona.
