It just suggests that the guy involved has a really small penis.

It is not always true that the hymen tears when you have sex. you could have torn it playing rough when you were younger but I doubt it because you would have remembered that. It would have been very painful. I never tore mine and I am 30 and no, I am not a virgin.
Lots of factors come into play. Some women have stronger hymens than others and can withstand more force. Some women stretch more during sex so it will not tear. It is possible that he was so gentle that it allowed you time to stretch. this is not a one-size-fits-all by the book thing.
I know one thing for sure. When I lost my virginity, the guy was real gentle. Actually, I was on top and I was the one who put it in and went down real slow. He actually just layed there and did not move and let me do all the work. I told him I wanted it that way.

Sometimes activities such as riding, gymnastics, dance etc can stretch or break the hymen before a girl ever has intercourse. This can mean that when you first have sex you don't get a pain or tear and this can make you think that the hymen remains intact. This does not mean you are still a virgin - if you have had full penetrative sex then you are no longer a virgin.

This hymen thing is way over-rated.
A lot of importance was attached to it in medieaval times. Not so much now though surely?
If you have heterosexual sex - full intercourse, then the virginity is gone.
Using tampons etc does not make you lose your virginity. The hymen is made out to be a really tough membrane that keeps the vagina closed, but that is not the case (menstrual blood would not escape, if that were true). You can't really feel a hymen either, and neither can the men. A virgin is just, well, erm tight.........

How would you know it's intact unless you visit a doctor. And you are not still classified as a virgin when you have consented sex. Sex after the loss of virginity can be painful for some women even after having intercourse 20 times. And if you are not lubricated it's PAINFUL. So wait until you are ready not just because he is.

It doesn't always tear, sometimes it just gradually stretches, or perhaps it was broken in your childhood, maybe from sports or gymnastics or horse riding, and you never realised. If sex is not uncomfortable or painful, don't worry about it. Having an unbroken hymen is a way of telling if you are a virgin or not, it doesn;t define virginity, someone who has never had sexual intercourse is a virgin, someone who has had it, is not, hymen or no hymen.

Hymens and breaking! Lifestyle nowadays means that the hymen will often be streached before intercourse takes place. Horseriding , Gymnastics , can result in streatching sufficient to allow a penis to enter - but usually merely a boy. Increased maturity at a young age and improved knowkledge of bodies .. playing , fingers , vibros (now called something else I believe) also streatch.
With respect to your other question ... did he manage full penetration ... maybe he was too small , maybe he reached the hymen but did not penetrate it. In that case he did not suceed in taking your virginity.

Virginity has no longer something to do with the status of your hymen. The hymen is typically a very skinny membrane it is soft and services to ripping whilst somebody is lively. The membrane is designed to tear throughout below soft activity.

If you have had sex, then u are not a virgin anymore irrespective of whether the hymen is torn or not. Also it is not necessary that u bleed on you first intercourse as the hymen may have broken long ago due to strenous exercises, sports etc.

The Hymen is a VERY thin piece of tissue.. if you have ever been in gymnastics, rode a bike, rode a horse.. done the splits, or used a tampon you have more than likely already torn it.
The definition of virgin is: "to have never been penetrated"

If you have had full sex it's broken. What makes you think it hasn't?
There is not always bleeding or pain. It may have broken many years ago.
You are not a virgin if you have had sex. It has nothing to do with when the hymen is/was broken.
