A 5G iPod Video. I will give you a whole bunch of reasons why it is worth it (I have one by the way.) First, it can hold 7500 songs. You don't see many MP3 Players that can do that do you? Also, the video capabilities option is wonderful. I have at least 100 videos on mine, a bunch of south park episodes, the simpsons, family guy, and 10 movies on top of that, and still room for 750 songs and over 400 photos, with 5GB to spare for whatever I want. And the iPod is one of the very few Mp3 players that can be hacked. I mean the real deal, playing Doom, Half-Life, Quake, and more games on it, writing text documents on it, painting pictures on it, and a whooole lot more. Look into iPod Linux, Rockbox, and iPod Wizard (for more info on this, go to http://iPodForum.co.nr .) And I could go on an on all day about why you should get the iPod Video. One other reason: once you have it in your hand the first time, you will never put it down. It's got a great look and I take mine everywhere. To school, on the bus, to the mall, my friends' houses, I even listen to it when I'm falling asleep. I'm addicted to it. I love it. If you get one then you will definately know what I am talking about. By the way, I was just talking about the 30GB iPod. If you get the 60GB iPod, then you can double everything I said which would be even better (the 60GB iPod is $400 and the 30GB is $300.) Good luck with your decision.

First off, not the iPod. The audio quality isn't great. The screen supports a low amount of colors and scratches slow up constantly. The iPods are have practically NO FEATURES, have poor battery life, and are overpriced. Did I mention they're made
in sweatshops?

In response to the above poster, Music, Video, Pictures, Games, Shuffle Mode, Individual Playlists, Speaker functions, are on all MP3 players. The things the iPod lacks are FM radio, FM recording, line-in recording, video (on the Nano), a screen (on the Shuffle), dedicated volume control, and a customizable background.

There's other MP3 players beside Creative and most of them are superior to the iPod. CNET.com review them and gave the iRiver Clix the highest score of any MP3 player. And rightfully so, it's AWESOME. I've tried the Nano and Video and I can safely say, iPods are not the best.

Now, on to the suggestions.

For low storage, go for the iRiver Clix. The best flash player, BY FAR.

It stores 2GB (about 500 songs), views photos, plays video, has an FM tuner, FM + voice recording, and the battery lasts 19/20 hours before you have to charge it. You can download games onto the Clix, too.

It's got a cool design. You press the edge of the screen to navigate. Click screen. Not AT ALL like the iPod.

The best large capacity player is the Creative Zen Vision: M, HANDS-DOWN. It's customizable, and has a great screen along with a wide range of features and solid battery life.

iPods are the best. Creative products are just cheap competetors and copycats. If you really look at the design of Creative products you see that it is very similar to the iPod, that there design is just a spinoff of what iPod has mastered. iPods are the best because of there sound quality, screen quality, video quality... all better than any other mp3. People have been thinking more about price than quality. And even though the iPods are more expensive, the quality is worth it. People who answered your question said that the iPod has limited features- i beg to differ. Music, Video, Pictures, Games, Lyrics, Shuffle Mode, Indevidual Playlists, Speaker functions.. that seems like more than enough to me. I have used other MP3s before and I, having used both, can say the iPod is a better buy without having a biased opionion.
