Several possibilities:

Tendinitis or some other form of ligament damage.

A spur on the heel bone.

Faciitis of the heel (requires a cortisone injection in the heel to relieve the pain)

You do need to see a Doctor.

Hi have it checked out medically. If they can find nothing wrong then it might be that you have a psychological phantom pain condition.

A Neuro Linguistic Programmer can help you if this is the case. Use the directory in the link provided to find your local practitioner.

I would also suggest that yu go to a Dr. There is a treatment for it, but you have to find out the cause.

This could be a trapped nerve or hairline fracture, stress fracture, if i was you i would definitely go and see your doctor pronto as it could be something serious.
