I know what you mean I have SBC too!! What you have to do is change your account settings on your home page to change your user name for your e-mails. It's real simple just follow the instructions.

In outlook, go to Tools > Accounts and select the one you wan to change. There should be a space in the first tab screen.

go to my account, were you normally signout of your mail box click on my account and edit you accout name.
