Being sixtyish and liking short skirts, would it be appropriate to wear some type of stylish boots?

Here are some pointers too help you:
Just because you are 60ish doesn't mean you have to wear the clothes of the past such as padded shoulders etc. Don't think granny's. Instead think Prada: slim comfortable suits that are not made of tweed (at least not the old style tweed)
Other wise: DO NOT dress too young. That just looks weird. Some people who are too old wear mini skirts and long long dyed hair!

Instead it will look better the older you are the shorter the hair. Give it a funky tousled short cut. It will make you look younger and a person who enjoys life! Then a red lipstick and that Prada outfit (style) and you'll look awesome.
I guess it's best to go with darker colours or at least not too bright like Pucci.

If you have a good body and good leg you could pull it off. But be a little discreet and draw the line at a thong. lol
