I'm having minor surgery tomorrow. Does anyone have any recommendations for scare treatments to minimize scares? Mederma hasn't done much for me in the past.

There is really not much that can be done, all of the creams in the world don't do diddly.

What does make a difference is if the Doctor closes using staples. The staples do not go through like a suture and there are no hole marks left. Just the line.

Mederma, it is the Best or try Shea butter, works good, Mederma takes time, after my wife had reduction done. she used it for months, but only almost year later did she see the effects...works really well, just give it time

Vitamin e and straight alo Vera plant mixed together. The alo seems to really work on scars. Just from plant not in the bottle.

Apply Vitamin E and Neosporin (if you aren't allergic) to the fresh wound as it heals. Keep it covered and moist. Moist wounds heal faster.

Have you tried stretching the skin at the area and scar massage techniques?
