Are these mutually exclusive? I mean, can I pick one as a freebie then acquire the others on my own... or must I pick one and be stuck with only that one?

I guess I'd pick a true friend. Wealth without power means someone will try to take it from me. Power without status means someone will try to take it from me. Status without power is moot. A true friend cannot be stolen, nor spoiled, nor wasted.

True friend, because wealth, power and status can run out, but a true friend is forever.

Power.

I can change the world maybe for the better.

I care for my friends though and dont think I could give them up for power, but, for a chance at bringing about some massive change for the better, all the friends I have would give up their lives for the chance. I know they would leap at the possibility for changing the world for the better.
