Im 8 1/2 months pregnant and all I've gained is 15lbs so far. The doctor told me not to worry about it because the baby is growing at the rate at which he should be and if anything hes a little bigger than where he should be at. Also I'm sure if the doctor had any concerns he/she would have expressed them by now. If it makes you feel better don't be afraid to just ask your doctor about your weight gain. I was a little concerned too but I spoke up and asked anyways. Good luck with things and dont worry about it too much.

Nothing to worry. Having agined 10 pounds sound a good sign. Over weight is not at all desirable under any norms. You are fine and in good spirits should be the motto. You being small, as you say does not warrant that you will not be blessed with a healthy baby proportionate to your built only. Have a nice day, without any doubts or miserable views on thsi matter.

I am currently 7 1/2 months pregnant, and to date I have only gained 11 pounds.I also want to comment that I had food poisoning and lost the 10 pounds, which put me at the grand total of pregnancy weight gain at 1 whole pound. My OB did the 30week ultrasound, and the baby is just fine, actually measuring 10ozs bigger than most 30 weekers...She said everything is fine, some women gain more than others, she said it would only make things easier for me when I give birth, and I wont have much weight to take off.DO NOT GET ME WRONG, I feel huge, and have to wear maternity clothes, my belly is BIG, I just have not gained alot of weight...You will be okay, just continue to take prenatal vitamins, and eat when you are hungry, You and your baby will be okay....Best Wishes, and may God continue to pour his blessings into your life!!

Congrats on being pregnant.
If there was a problem with the baby not being big enough, the doctor would have said something to you.
When my mom had me she didn't show at all until about 7 and 1/2 months and never did get big enough to need maternity clothes. She just happened to carry high and to the back, so there wasn't much showing.
And she didn't gain much weight either, because her eating habits got a lot better and she was actually eating all she wanted and lost almost as much weight as she was gaining due to the pregnancy.

Have you asked your doctor? I'm 4.5 months pregnant and have lost 3 pounds. My doctor isn't worried because the baby seems fine.
If you're healthy and taking care of yourself, I'm sure the baby is fine.

Many women gain far too much weight during pregnancy, but you should talk to your doctor. This is a very important topic and you shouldn't base your health on what you hear here. You might be just fine, but 10 lbs isn't much so you need to speak with a doctor. all the best to you and your little-one-to-be :-)

I had a small tummy my whole pregnancy, My baby weighed 6 pounds and she was perfectly healthy. The doctor would let you know if he was worried about anything. Best wishes

I am assuming that you are getting pregnancy care at your doctor?..that isn't much of a weight gain..have they been measuring your tummy and getting ultrasounds?..if you haven't been to the doctor go ASAP..if you have then call your doctor and ask them about this weight gain..they should be keeping you informed through your pregnancy.

If the ob not concerned, you shouldnt be either! How did the ultrasounds go? Was everything (weight, length. measurements) on track? If so, then dont worry...some women just dont gain much weight while preggers.
