Why can't I find a lady 30-40 who is not fat, likes Monty Python and a short (5'7") guy (40) with glasses.

Question

I'm not picky, but I like a woman who is fit or at least average. I am 40 and retired Navy but am still fit and love to rock climb, scuba and hike, It seems almost every lady I meet around my age has let herself go and/or is looking for Mr. perfect. What has become of our american culture?
