you need to go around the foundation and look for point of entry, then call terminex or som local exterminator, most conventional stuff won't work, Call them or it will only get worse

Ortho ant dusting powder will work excellent outside, keep away from children and pets area, so they don`t walk in it, but if you have a cat don`t even bother to use it.If you can find the trail where they come inside the house, find the most secluded areas and dust a very small amnt. of the ortho powder, but as I fore stated don`t use if there`s a baby, toddler, or pets.

Bear in mind ants are like termites. And with any termite coloney, the answer has been to poison their food supplies so the ant queen is killed (frm consuming the posoned food) and that stops the hatchery of ants.

So you may have to let the problem get worse before it improves, if you catch my point.

There could be a nest somewhere. follow the ant trails to see if it leads you there.

Once you found the nest, you can destroy it.
If the nest is a tiny hole in the wall, just seal up the hole with
glue, plaster of paris or cement, the ants will just die in there.

Act according for other size of nest.

Try Terro (available from Agway and lawn/garden centers). Use the granules all around the outside of the house, and the spray (carefully) inside. I just tried it and it seems to work really good.
