That will depend on your local by-laws. I cannot keep my tarantulas if I cross the road where I live. Check out you local pet stores. The staff there will know, and if they can they will usually sell them, but in most places, as long as it is captive bred, and not indigenous you are fine

I once saw a scorpion for sale in a petstore in shreveport. But I'd check with the department of wildlife and fisheries about a wild one.

I'm not sure you should check and even if they aren't you can still get a special permit that allows you to keep one.

Hell i would think anything down there would be legal.
