My husband is the same - it drives me mad! I was brought up to believe that if you were late, it was rude to the person or people who were waiting for you and that's stuck through my life - I am notoriously early for everything (except when my husband is with me!) and often arrive 20 minutes + for everything, then have to hang around waiting! We were even late for our wedding reception (1,000 guests for a huge curry) but that was because we were hung over and couldn't get out of bed!

If you're serious about breaking the habit try considering others first. It's so hard in the morning when you are dawdling about but get into a routine and stick to it!

Good luck!

Well, an obvious solution would be to set all of your clocks about half an hour forward.

Also, give yourself a good reason to be early // on time. Maybe there's a cute guy you can chat up at work when your early // on time. Also, know that generally, if you come early, you can leave early. That means you have more time to chill, either with friends or by yourself, after work.

Also, manage your time wisely. Only allot yourself certain amounts of time to get ready for work. For example, if you normally take 20 minutes to eat breakfast, eat something lighter, and finish your breakfast in 10 minutes. Cut down the length of your shower, and don't take too much time applying your makeup. Also, I would suggest picking out your clothes the night before, so you don't take time to choose an outfit in the morning.

Another way to help being on time is think of the repercussions of being late. Understand that being late could really hurt your reputation in the office. When your running late, a way to speed up your pace would be thinking "If I'm late again, Mr. Boss may fire me!"

Lateness comes down to bad preparation and is rude.
Although people have now ceased saying "your late" they now despise the fact you can't be bothered to get anywhere on time.
Lateness does not just effect you it has a knock on effect on other peoples day too & is damn selfish.

As for setting your clocks fast, if that works your lateness is a state of mind, its almost as if your saying oh 20 minutes late is too late but 10 is OK but you'll still be late as the reason for all this is bad preperation.

Better an hour early than 10 minutes late

wow, get to bed earlier and on the weekends wake up at the same time also. Put your alarm clock on the other side of the room, this will stop you from hitting the snooze button 20 times. (I understand). Try not to drink caffeine in the day so that you can get to sleep better, this will led to the waking up late. Try a regular exercise routine, this will give you more energy if that is the problem. Drinking enough water is another big factor on energy! I have tested that one. OK, if this doesn't help. Try meditation. Then try a doctor. Usually people can't wake up on time because they are tired. Just trying to help. good luck!

Was you born late in the day? Try find out , if you were, then you can NEVER get rid of that. It's just the way you are. Embrace who you are.

However, If you were born before 7pm. Well young lady, you shall just have to get yourself to bed earlier and set your clock 15 minutes earlier than it is now.

Get your clothes for work ready the night before, that saves at least 15 minutes in the morning. Everything all together right down to the shoes.

Only YOU can change your life. It won't do it by itself.

You have to recondition yourself. It is a long and tedious process, because you have to literally change your habit. For example, if you have to be at work at 8, start telling yourself you have to be there at 7:30, set your alarm thirty minutes earlier and go through your normal routine without looking at the clock. When you are in your car, bus, or however you travel, then look at your watch and see if you don't start getting there early or on time. It is going to take you some time and lots of practice. Be patient, if you really want to change, you will before you even realize.

I set all my clocks 23 minutes fast. I think that they are 20 minutes fast, but every once in a while I sneak it ahead an extra minute.

One thing I did when I was in my masters program and it was really far away I would give myself an incentive for being early. If I was early I could buy lunch for myself and chill out before class.

Hi Plan your activities. If you find some of the common hurdles in your daily life which prevents you from being on time then try solving them first.

Do never set your clock with forwarding time it will never keep you on time.

Make your will powerful. Make a plan chart for all the activities and try following them.

Above all PRAY TO GOD EVERYDAY.
