I've tried all kinds of fake tans and none of them work out for me. Is it possible for me to get any kind of colour (preferrably not red) from the sun or tanning beds?

I normally burn in the sun, but if I do it slowly, is it possible for me to tan, even just a little? Please help. This is getting me down so much.

I am very fair and sorry to say I have never been able to tan. I also tried alot of tanning lotions and the only one I have found recently that worked for me is jergens or loreal gradual tanning. It takes about a week but you have a tan.

Of course it is possible. Put on a high protection factor sun product and take it slowly, go out in the sun for short periods of time, gradually staying in the sun longer. Try to keep a basic light tan up all year round by going on a tanning bed 5 minutes each week during winter, this will help your skin adapt to the sun.

You are going to have to bear with a little bit of burn to tan. Start very, VERY slowly. Try going out for 10 to 15 minutes at first, turning over about halfway through. If this doesn't give a little bit of a burn, increase by no more than 5 minutes, till you get a minor burn. Let that heal, then go back and do it again. Eventually, you will build up a resistance, and be able to stay longer and get some real color.

I’m a really white guy, but I’m cool with that. If you’re so self indulged in your looks to the point where you ask other people the best way to tan, I would recommend getting physiological help. I’m not tying to be a jerk or anything but I think self-confidence will get you farther in life then a tan will, and confidence isn’t going to give you skin cancer. Fair skin isn’t a bad thing, why would you spend time and/or money to get rid of it?

If you want to look old before your time, then yes, by all means, screw up your DNA in the tanning beds.

You'd be better off to just be happy with who you already are. What is wrong with white skin? I'm sexy as hell and I don't tan... jeez

I recommend Sunless Tanning Lotion by Mary Kay. It's safe, fragrance-free, and gives you a natural looking glow. My customers who have used sunless tanning lotions from other companies (famous designers) like Mary Kay's the best. It doesn't leave you orange or streaky. Just mix it with equal parts of moisturizer, rub all over, and wipe away around your ankles, knees, and elbows.

i heard coke gives a great color when you tan.
just pour some on your whole body and lay under the sun.
it might hurt a bit, but hey, beauty comes with a price, right? :)
