I'm only 25 and look pretty young for my age, except for the fact that I've already got big bags under my eyes. I recently got a load of photos back and couldn't believe how prominent they are. Excluding surgery, what can be done to lessen their appearance?
And also, what are the main causes for bags under the eyes?

there are exercises that you can do to drain the fluid from the eye area Ill try to explain but may be hard writing it on here .
1/ gently with two fingers push upwards from either side of the top of your nose / eyes hold for 10 seconds at a time and release do this twice .
2/ push gently again with your fingers on the outside of your eye sockets again for 10 seconds and do this twice .
3/ last of all to help the fluid get moving very gently pitter patter the under eye area where the problem is with all your fingers .
4/ repeat the above and don't do it more than twice daily after 2 days hopefully you will see a difference .

eye bags are mostly fluid we all carry this in different ways and unfortunately yours is in your eye area and you share this with half the country .
hope this helps and you get the jest of what I'm trying to explain .

2 the thank you to do away with bags, are a) training H, and b) chilly spoons + evening cream. I say training H, via fact it relatively sucks out the moisture it relatively is under your eye, via fact the 'bag' is unquestionably moisture. What to do is gently faucet a small quantity under your eye, wait possibly 5 minutes, and notice some concealer. The chilly spoons approach is solid too, in the morning, or whenever you like a refresher, take a million chilly spoon in each hand, and place them under the attention for a million finished minute. Then immediately in a while, notice a solid evening cream to maintain the firmness in the floor. solid success! test it out!

Bags under your eyes can be caused by many things namely; lack of sleep, stress, alcohol abuse, dietary issues. Try to get the proper amount of sleep each night, don't drink ( too much) alcohol. Drinking a lot of water has a positive effect on the skin, just drink loads of that! Some swelling might go down if you put used ( herbal) teabags on your eyes, cucumber slices on your eyes may also help.

this is going to sound gross, but it actually works. Preperation H under the eye area really helps with bags under the eyes... It temporarily tightens the skin it touches. Some ladies at work were talking about eye bags and about five of them said they've tried it and it works. I've never tried it personally but I trust the girls at work.

I recommend either TimeWise® Firming Eye Cream, which firms, brightens, provides intense moisture, plus minimizes fine lines and wrinkles. It's a cool, soothing gel that helps reduce the appearance of puffiness (http://www.marykay.com/adina_k/skincare/lipeyecare/10274300/10274300/default.aspx)
