I have heard that fair skinned people with red hair are more vulnerable to the negative effects of very hot and sunny weather. What is the bological reason behind this?

its the pigment in there skin it is closer to the surface of the skin blond and ginger people (like me) are more receptive to pain as well because the nerve endings are closer to the skin I'm no scientist but hoped i helped.

Black body and hair colour is suitable for tropical hot climate.See the africans are black.The European fair colour is good for winter or cold cimatic conditions.ideally speaking the best hair colour suitable for Europeans will be white.Next best may be brown or brownish red.You can select a hair colour suitable to climate.But black is more stable and permanent.In extreme summer black hair reduces the impact of heat.

what i do know is that black ppl r less likely to get sun burnt and less likely to get skin cancer .... on the flip side as you know the fairer ur skin the more likely u r to get sun burnt

I BELEIVE THE FAIRER YOU ARE THE MORE LIKELY YOU ARE TO BURN QUICKER.YOU NEED A HIGH FACTOR SUN CREAM.YOUR SKIN IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN A TAN.GOOD LUCK.

I dno I have VERY fair skin and blond hair and I burn pretty esily too so....
