Here are some REALLY good, and very inexpensive ways to treat most acne at home. Try each method (unless you’re allergic to the ingredients) until you find one that works best for you. Good luck =) BTW, I know some of these may sound bizarre but try them…what have you got to lose other than the acne!!

1. Put toothpaste on your acne before going to bed. (Make sure it is paste not gel). It should reduce the swelling of acne noticeably.

2. Dab egg whites on your acne and leave on for 20 minutes or overnight. It’s supposed to pull the infection out of the blemish.

3. Wash acne infected areas twice a day with warm salt water. This reduces oils in the skin and helps to dry the acne up without further agitation.

4. Use ice on acne before going to bed. This works best on pimples that have not yet formed a head. It reduces swelling and helps to prevent scarring.

5. Wash and dab acne with cotton balls that have been soaked in vinegar. Let dry; do not wash off immediately.

6. Place strawberries leaves over your acne and the alkalinity will help to reduce the swelling.

I HAVE THE ANSWER TO ACNE!

I have a teen aged brother and me who have struggled with Acne for years...we tried many things, including Proactive and prescription medicines as well. Then, we found the solution.

Please don't shrug it off because this can help you a lot.

I was searching through the Internet and found www.acne.org. The site is owned by a guy named Dan. Dan, struggled with acne as well. He read medical books and tried many things on the market. Then, he found the way. BENZYL PEROXIDE! Now, I bet you have used it many times before but it hasn't done much right? Well, the reason is because everything on the market is 5% or 10% Benxyl Peroxide. These irritate your skin which causes MORE acne! (Touching it irritates it as well which causes more acne.) There is one thing on the market that has non irritating Benzyl Peroxide....2.5% Benzyl Peroxide. Netrogena on the Spot Acne Cream has 2.5. Nothing else on the market. You can get stuff on the Internet that have 2.5%! It is also on the site www.acne.org.

The regimen includes: First washing your face with a cleanser (suggested ones are on the site)

Then, drying and adding LARGE AMOUNTS or Benzyl Peroxide. In the beginning very little but you rank it up to 2 fingers after time.

Last, you moisturize, because the Benzyl Peroxide may dry up your skin. Suggested ones are on the website as well.

Go to www.acne.org and read about the clear skin regimen.

THIS MAN IS NOT TRYING TO MAKE MONEY...HE IS NOT SELLING ANYTHING!
He just wants to help. I have clear skin and so does Dan. There is also a forum where you can read more. The site teaches you how to pop a zit the right way and to find out other products that have work well.

I hope I Helped!

(My brother who is also a teen is clear as well. This regimen takes about 8 weeks to be completely clear but you will see gradually the acne go away. There is no cure for acne, so you have to do the regimen every day until acne goes away.)

I have had moderate acne on my face and back since I was in the sixth grade. I have been using Witch Hazel after washings (i use neutrogena body clear body wash scrub on my face and back) 2x daily, morning and night on my face and back. I am just starting my third week on this regiment and have seen a lot of improvement. It dries out the pimple extremely fast and you are left with very little marks that fade over time. I still have some pimples and red spots especially on my back but i am confident that by the end of the week I should be clear. I would use a good moisturizer because it does dry out the skin a bit.

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

You may just have to wait till you're older.
Just keep your skin clean and dry. Try Clinique's line of skin cleansers. The person at the counter will be able to help you select the right ones.

If you are talking about the occasional zit that pops up out of nowhere... I have had some luck with neosporin... it has an antibiotic which will kill the bacteria that's causing the problem, but it's also somewhat oily, so it could make the problem worse if you use it on a large area.

I too had pimples - infact still get an odd one sometime.
I think you are from INDIA- So I ll give you specific advise.
Our climate is warm n humid.
Keep the skin clean:
Use a good ANTI BACTERIAL soap- like ACNEGUARD or ACNELAK etc... Use the soap as many times as you can- maybe right before you leave home and right after you come back.
Use an ANTI BIOTIC- Doxycycline helped solve my problem.
Avoid Oily and spicy foods...
Keep a tissue - preferably wet tissue handy to keep your skin clean.
DRINK 8-10 glasses of water everyday!!
Take Vit C supplements if they suit you
Also- if possible see a Skin specialist,,,,
Hope it helps:

Well i think if you got a oily face that makes pimples and acne really bad..the best thing to do is use a face wash and use products with no oils..Foundation,creams, try using oil free products because that kind of causes pimples for some people.try using some really good products for your face..Try different ones and see which one really does it...But if you want you could use proactive as i have seen it work on many of my friends..With really good improvments with one usage of the product. But i think you would have to keep using it,so you dont breakout.well the best thoery i got for you is just make shure your face doesnt get oily if you have a oily face because that causes pimples..Well goodluck..

At the bottom of every message, it tells how many you have left. Maybe it's a level thing, becuz I start out with 999/day and usually don't have to worry about running out. But if you're getting close to your limit, you can always ask your senders for an alt e-mail address. Good ones you can't reply to.

I use the Miracle Set (combination to oily) by Mary Kay. The set will give you younger looking skin, fewer lines, improved firmness, and even skin tone. It's very gentle and will not irritate your face. http://www.marykay.com/adina_k/skincare/antiaging/miracleset_combinationtooily/default.aspx

Be sure to finish your daily skin care routine with a foundation to protect against the elements, and to help your skin look smooth and blemish-free. You can also use a concealer underneath your foundation. Mary Kay's foundations come in 20 different shades and provide stay-true, stay-put color, and controls excess oil for up to eight hours! http://www.marykay.com/adina_k/color/foundations/mediumcoveragefoundation/default.aspx

You can also throw in the Blemish Control Toner 3, which is an acne medication that leaves your skin free of excess oil. http://www.marykay.com/adina_k/skincare/classicbasicskincare/10106500/10106500/default.aspx

The last thing is the Acne Treatment Gel. It will dry and clear blemishes, and allows skin to heal without irritation.

Just be sure to always properly moisturize, even while breaking out. If you don't, your skin will start to produce extra oils to compensate and you'll just break out more.

You can start with what's written above, but I also strongly recommend TimeWise® Even Complexion Essence. It really evens out your natural tone and reverses skin discoloration.
