I reposted this question because Yahoo apparently didn't like my colorful language. Here's the edited version:

9/11 was a terrible day, but remember how it forced the media to stop fixating on all this celebrity obsessed bull.

But by December of that same year we were already back hitting on this never ending crackpipe of pop culture excess.

No wonder why other cultures don't understand us, and, for the most part, want to destroy us.

Now that I think about it, I can't help wondering what Tom Cruise would do in this situation.

its not only America that has a 'celeb-problem' its all over the world...even in the poor countries....

i guess that people just want to hear something a bit more entertaining and especially funnier than all the sad stories that happen on our planet day by day....

i am glad the 9/11 coverage stopped after a few weeks - i just couldn't see it anymore...

I'd rather have a good laugh about Paris show off her *** and going 'oops i did it again'....every so often....

I'm not that tired of it. It's not a big deal to me. Nick didn't cheat on Jessica. Jessica dumped Nick. I'm waiting to see baby Suri.

America is a country of stupid people, celebs and otherwise so that's what they're interested in.
